Not a penny of government or corporate funding was behind Dr. Jonas Salk's polio research of the 1950s - only small private donations from everyday people through the fundraising drive, the March of Dimes, sponsored by the Foundation Against Infantile Paralysis.
AMICUS for AIDS aims to do it again with Dr. Salk's theory for an HIV immunotherapeutic but we can't do it without you.
